The drowzy dragon raised his eyelid to see a small black haired girl at the age of 10 wrapped in big, warm clothes, his master in other words. He sighed, irritated that his slumber was disrupted, and tried to go back to sleep, but the girl protested.
"No! Don't sleep! Please wake up!"
The dragon grumbled and lifted his head. He hadn't realized the girl was holding on to his snout as he raised his head until she ordered him to put her down. Smoke rose from his nostrils as he tried to control his temper towards his master. The girl coughed as she was placed back on the ground. He waited for her to say something as she tried to stop coughing. When she had, she looked up to the dragon.
"Iahdo, where are we? I don't remember being here..."
Iahdo was surprised she woke him up for this. He was going to answer that they were somewhere on Mt. Everest, but he was too sleepy to notice they were on flat, dry ground until he opened his mouth.
The two were trying to climb Mt. Everest in search of something, or possibly someone. The young girl has desperately been trying to hide her dragon from other people, but it has been too hard for her to keep the large creature hidden in very populated areas, it was also hard for her to accept that such a being existed in her world with many others that she thought lived only in her imaginations. Her dragon had once told her he came from another world, and when an unknown creature who came to see the dragon told her about a portal to another world was hidden on Mt. Everest, she immediately made her way to the mountain in hope of finding a better home for Iahdo.
Iahdo looked around confused. At first he thought Mt. Everest had completely changed, then mentally scolded himself for thinking such a stupid thought. Of course this isn't Mt. Everest!
"Do you think we slept in the portal?" the girl asked. Iahdo looked down on her with no answer.
"Um, let's just...walk around...and see where we are," Iahdo suggested walking off as he said it. The girl ran by his side trying to keep up with his walking pace. She kept trying to ask him questions on their whereabouts, but Iahdo ignored her too lost in his thoughts to hear. He was too interested in his new surroundings, and he couldn't smell the scent of another dragon, though he has never met one other than himself, or human. He began to think of how much territory he might be able to dominate over. He looked up to the sky excited.
"Oh! Iahdo, look!"
Iahdo snapped back to reality and looked down to his master, who was pointing ahead at something in awe. Iahdo turned to where she was looking. His eyes grew big as he stared at a glittering mountain of crystals of all sorts of colors.
"Wow," his master muttered. He thought the same. He still couldn't smell any other dragons in the area, and so his hoarding instincts kicked in. He began beating his wings and flew to the top of the shining heap of crystals. He delicately landed on top of it, but couldn't stop from crushing some of the crystals. He roared claiming it as his own. He began to fill up with pride as he victoriously roared to the skies. He heard several crystals break at the foot at the mountain and became alarmed. He began to growl defensively thinking that someone already wants to challenge him for the crystals. Snarling, his eyes searched for another dragon, but he could only find the small girl who had woken him up. She stood on a small pile of broken gems looking up at him with big, frightened eyes. Iahdo quickly tried to control himself astonished by how he reacted.
"Iahdo, please come down..." the girl pleaded. Iahdo looked down on the crystals he stood on. 'How could I completely forget about her?' he thought to himself. Reluctantly, he tried to convince himself to leave his mountain. 'There's so much here it's all probably worthless,' he thought deliberately breaking a cluster of crystals. He hastily went back to his master nuzzling her.
"If you want some of these crystals I suppose I could pack some with us," the girl said. Iahdo shook his head.
"No, I don't want these," he said assuringly, "They aren't good enough."
"Oh...well, I promise I will get you better treasure later," she said feeling like she failed making him happy.
"No, there isn't any treasure that will be good enough for me." The girl looked at him confused. Iahdo nuzzled her more. "There isn't any treasure that is worth more than you are, Nami."

lol I just felt like adding a little mini story to this picture
I decided to change Iahdo's design a little bit, I wanted him to look a little more vicious. Ugh, I tried my best to draw realistically but I think I messed up in several places.
I'm thinking about putting up Iahdo's full story but I'm not sure how many people will actually be interested. Oh well~
i love how you spent the time to do the colouring. most the time i cant be bothered doing it. well done. i also the crystals. they look cool. what size is it on paper? what did you use to outline it?

the real picture isn't much bigger than this, I think it's about an inch bigger in length and in height, and I used a regular ball pen for the outline
